Autumn's shimmering goodbye
And winter's whistles to the sky
Autumn’s
Golden leaves like
Hands, shimmer goodbyes, as
Winter winds whistle, their season
To skies.
Hello dear friend,
I hope today’s short post allows you a 5 minute sanctuary to savour your coffee break, with a view from your window, to take in the changes as winter arrives upon us.
As I looked out my window recently I loved the way the last golden leaves were shimmering a happy dance in the wind, all leaning in one direction as if waving, celebrating even, their goodbye to the season of colour they gave us.
What are you choosing to say goodbye to as winter invites you to rest like nature?
Or what are you choosing to say hello to this winter?
I’m choosing to say hello to less screen time by leaving my phone in another room from 8pm at weekends.
If you are new here, welcome to my Cinquain Corner of the internet. To welcome you into winter, you might enjoy Winter’s Breath from my archive.
👉 On the look out for a Christmas book for a loved one or friend who is grieving this Christmas?
I would be honoured if you selected my book, The Edge of Grief.
Here is a recent post about it to give you a delicate sense of how it could support.
Verses From the In-Between
When love meets change, we grieve in slow motion. These are words from that space - between presence and absence, ache and grace.
Until next time, Bev x

So beautiful Beverley and what an inspiring thing to say hello to ✨🧡
So beautiful and poetic. I love autumn, but I am determined to pay special attention to winter even without snow 😉
