Distant tree tops
Smudge in to soft grey sky
Distant
Tree tops smudge in
To soft grey sky, seeping
In a hushing morning breath of
Stillness.
I love the softness sitting in a smudgy grey sky, caressing treetops. Like a soft grey fleece comforting trees in their winter state. Nature’s version of cosy-ing up on a cold winter’s day, trees taking time out of view after a spectacular autumn performance.
It’s a reflection of where I have been through December and January, quite poorly with 3 separation infections, feeling now like I’m trying to pick up my energy in my arms.
Thankfully, I will be picking up some winter sun next week in Sri Lanka for 2 weeks and leaning into time with friends, different food, tropical scenery, wonderful wildlife and nature, and hopefully feel my body and soul lifting to a place of replenishment.
I hope this week’s poem has given you a sanctuary moment as you sipped your tea or coffee and enjoyed a ‘hushful,’ ‘stillful’ moment in your Friday.
Take care of yourself lots, you are worth it.
Until after Sri Lanka, Bev x
