Season's Greetings
Sending you Joy, Peace and Hope
A poem I wrote last year
The ABC’s of Winter
Acorns lying under trees
Branches swaying in the breeze.
Cold snaps,
Darker nights,
Eerie moonlight,
Frosty bites.
Greener grass from all the rain,
Heavy storms on window panes.
Ice on cars to scrape and clear,
Jack Frost comes this time of year.
Kindling fires crackle and spark,
Lightning, striking in the dark.
Mince pies, candy canes, many other treats,
“No-el” singers rhyme with carol beats.
“O Come All Ye Faithful” sounds the season
Ponderings … of the season’s reason.
Queues of shoppers and parkers in malls,
Red nose reindeers, and other pals.
Stuffing the stockings and gift bags galore,
Tree decorations in all of the stores.
Under the mistletoe a kiss exchanged,
Visiting family, other folk and friends.
Wintry walks in woodlands bare
Xmas dinner, the trimmings and fare.
Yawning and snoozing after it’s done,
Zedding-it into a winter wonderland.
Merry Christmas, and rest and strength for the New Year,
Until next time, Bev x

Oh, this is delightful!
